In tonight’s episode, Bobby Dunsmuir’s character, Isaac Dingle, demonstrated his heroism in the Emmerdale community.
Earlier this week, the young man sat down with his parents, Moira (Natalie J Robb), and brother Kyle (Huey Quinn), to hear some very crucial news.
Moira disclosed her brain tumor to Isaac and Kyle. She clarified that she occasionally has seizures as a result of the mass, which makes it impossible for her to care for Isaac and Kyle on her alone.
Isaac was greatly alarmed by Moira’s explanation, which was quite direct. Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) provided the young man a much-needed respite in tonight’s ITV soap opera episode.
While the fort was being built, Moira was in the café talking to Brenda (Lesley Dunlop). She was opening up about how it feels as though her family aren’t allowing her to make her own decisions, and how she thinks no one is listening to her regarding her decision to not have brain surgery.
When Moira returned to Butlers, she told Mack to leave. Not wanting to suffocate his sister, Mackenzie double-checked with Moira’s choice and then left her alone with Isaac.
Moira was okay for a little while but just as Isaac left the lounge, she experienced another seizure.
Fortunately, quick-thinking and smart Isaac knew he needed to call an ambulance and moments later, Cain was on the scene as well.
As Moira started to recover, Cain informed her that he wasn’t around when the seizure happened, and that their young son was responsible for getting her help.
After a comment from Isaac about how he wants his mum to be around for years and years, it was clear something was changing for Moira.
The beloved character currently isn’t opting for brain surgery due to the risks surrounding the process, and what will come after. However, something she needs to give more thought to is what may happen long-term if the tumour isn’t managed with an operation.
