Paul Foreman suffered another fall on Coronation Street, which had long-term repercussions, but the fans’ focus was elsewhere.

Paul Foreman from Coronation Street fell over once more, but viewers couldn’t help but criticize the sight.

Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) received his MND (Motor Neurone Disease) diagnosis earlier this year. MND is a rare terminal illness that affects the brain and neurological system.

Paul has been using a stick to move in recent weeks as he has gradually lost the use of one of his hands.

In tonight’s episode, Paul left Natalie Amber (who plays his buddy Shelly) a voicemail letting her know he was on his way to deliver a gospel record.

He began to shout for aid but no one was nearby when he suddenly lost all ability to stand and keeled over.

Paul dialed Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), who assisted in picking him up and provided transportation back to his house as he pondered his next move.

Paul sobbed about Shelly’s broken record as he was safely reunited with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), his other half, and he realized he now required a wheelchair.

Then, in order to help him adjust to this upsetting stage of MND, Billy and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) pushed him around while they went to the pub.

While it was heartbreaking to see Paul’s health continue to decline, viewers couldn’t help but bemoan the circumstances of his collapse.

One fan asked on the social media platform X, now known as Twitter, “So Paul just called his friend from his phone but hasn’t thought to call someone for help now he’s fallen instead of just shouting?”

Paul had just been on the phone, so why would he yell for help in a section of the canal that is obviously vacant when he can call someone, a second person said in agreement.

Another asked: “Walking around Manchester and not a soul in sight?” If only that were how actual life was.

The episode finished with Paul calling Shelly to explain why he didn’t show up, which made it even more upsetting.

Fans witnessed paramedics entering her apartment as the phone rung because she had stopped breathing.

How will Paul handle learning that Shelly has passed away given how crucial a role she played in his journey?
