Following the horrific nightclub crush, secrets and lies seem to have torn apart the Branning clan permanently in EastEnders.
Residents of Walford were left in a state of chaos as a full Peggy’s left club patrons gasping for air and unable to move.
The chaos erupted as a result of Chelsea Fox secretly allowing for more ticket sales than allowed thus ensuring that the venue would be dangerously over-capacity.
However, Chelsea was initially left none the wiser about the incident after fleeing the bar and allowing Penny Branning to be in control.
Despite Chelsea’s actions, she has so far remained silent on her dangerous actions with Penny now set to take the fall as a result of bombshell evidence.
During the latest episode, Jack was still left aghast as his daughter Amy Mitchell continued to fight for her life after getting caught up in the scary incident.
As well as that, Jack was dealing with the discovery that his other daughter Lauren Branning was also left severely injured as a result of the crush.
Doctors told her she had been left with a damaged lung and an injured chest wall meaning that Jack was having to stay strong for two members of his family.
Throughout the episode, Penny saw her day going from bad to worse as she was forced to admit that she was the one that triggered the fire alarm which caused a further panic in the club.
However, it was what the police officers had to say towards the end of the BBC episode that could leave the Branning family changed forever.
As Chelsea and Penny waited in the hospital for news on Amy and Lauren, it appeared as though Chelsea was about to confess all.
She was soon stopped in her tracks as the police officer beckoned that he needed to speak to Penny.
He said: “After an examination of the office laptop, we have evidence to prove that extra tickets were illegally issued via your staff login.”
Penny reacted in shock as she beckoned: “What? But I didn’t issue any extra…”
A furious Jack could be seen looking on as the police interrupted Penny to say: “Ms. Branning, we would like to interview you under caution in respect of the injuries sustained by customers at Peggy’s.
“Please come with us.”
With the cops firmly on Penny’s case, it seems that Jack could be about to disown one of his daughters for good after believing she put her sibling in grave danger.
