Fans of Coronation Street have been impatiently waiting for serial killer Stephen Reid to be brought to justice; however, might the murderer’s demise soon be in the cards?

After Todd Boyce landed a new position outside of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, the serial killer Stephen Reid (played by Boyce) might finally be leaving the show.

Stephen has killed three residents since moving to Weatherfield, but he has not yet been apprehended.

However, after sparking suspicion among various residents, the murderer would soon be made public for his crimes.

Although it is unknown whether or when he will be apprehended, actor Todd might be leaving after the announcement of his new role.

The pantomime Mother Goose at Derby Arena will include the Stephen Reid star in the role of Demon Vanity in December.

The holiday pantomime will start on December 8 and last through December 31.

Since Todd was seen filming scenes at an airport, fans have been wondering when he will be departing the serial opera.

Will the murderer eventually get away with his crimes or will someone ultimately catch him?

In recent scenes, Stephen and Jenny Connor (Sally-Ann Mathews) have developed a romantic relationship.

Todd hinted that the beginning of the end for his character would be his new romance when discussing the defeat of the adversary.

Todd made the suggestion that Stephen’s adoration of smart, caustic women would prove to be his undoing.

Gabrielle had knowledge and sass, but Jenny also had the extra quality of being a lot of fun, whereas Gabrielle wasn’t really funny. He likes ladies like that.

He said to The Mirror, “The thing is, his love for smart and sassy women could be his downfall. Gabrielle got the measure of him and what is to say Jenny won’t do that too?”

Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), a resident, is the only one who might reveal Stephen’s identity.

Tim alerted the tavern landlord that Stephen could not be trusted when he saw the two together.

Later, the killer begins whining to Jenny about being forced to live on the street after Tim informs Stephen that Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) wants him out of her apartment.

Will Jenny offer Stephen a place to call home? And if Tim starts interfering with his new connection, would he try to get rid of him?
