Viewers of Coronation Street recently witnessed Eliza Woodrow decide to move in with her estranged father, breaking Stu Carpenter’s heart.
Bill Fellows’ character Stu Carpenter on Coronation Street appears to be preparing to take severe measures in an effort to regain custody of granddaughter Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo).
Fans of the ITV soap opera saw Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt), Eliza’s estranged father, re-enter her life earlier this year.
Her granddad Stu obviously detested his former son-in-law, despite the fact that the youngster was delighted to develop a relationship with him.
Viewers saw Eliza becoming more defiant and rebellious with Stu’s parenting as she drew closer to her father.
But when Stu argued that Dom didn’t care about her, Eliza became enraged and ran across the street, where she was hit by a car.
She has since made the decision to live with her father, despite the fact that Dom was very clear that he didn’t want his daughter to live with him permanently.
He gave Stu the chance to receive £10,000 in exchange for his denying Eliza’s stay, but Stu was indignant that he would sell his daughter and declined.
However, it appears in upcoming scenes that Stu might have discovered a different strategy to reclaim custody of his granddaughter.
Eliza calls at No. 6 to retrieve some of her items, but Dom forbids her from staying for tea and requires that she retrieve the remainder of her belongings.
Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King), who has just returned from vacation, can see how dejected Stu feels over the situation.
She reassures Stu that once the novelty of living with Dom wears off, Eliza will return in an effort to ease his concerns.
She acknowledges that they can’t compel her to make a decision, so they’ll have to wait until she’s prepared to do so.
In an effort to learn more about Dom, Stu chooses to meet with a private investigator named Lesley.
Will Stu learn something that will help him in his quest to win Eliza back? Or will his strategy fail and distance her even more?
It appears from other episodes of the soap opera that the person who threw Eliza to the ground may have been identified.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) was questioned by the police about his movements after they informed him that his automobile had been engaged in a hit-and-run.
He immediately focused on his mother Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), who had been struggling with her prior addictions.
