‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is in a very precarious position. She is having to rely on the word of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). That’s not so easy, particularly since Adam is the one blackmailing her. How can she get out of this unscathed?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Secret Emails
Audra Charles messed up. When she was working for McCall Unlimited, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) ordered her to take care of a problem. A musician on tour with them was accused of statutory rape.
When they learned, they kept the information a secret until the tour was ended. When McCall Unlimited fired the musician, he was charged and made to answer for his actions.
In order to prevent anyone from learning that McCall Unlimited was aware of the accusations before the tour was over, Tucker instructed Audra to clear up the mess. She complied with his request, but she also sent him a few emails assuring him that everything had been taken care of.
When everything was cleaned up before the sale to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) took place, the emails that got to his spam folder were overlooked.
The emails were discovered by Adam Newman, who is now using them against both Tucker and Audra. He explained to Tucker that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) needed to be exonerated of all charges before he could allow the EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) to vanish.
In order to combine Adustus with Newman Media, Audra was told to convince Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Uncomfortable Position
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) has been requested by Audra to help her convince Victoria of the merits of the proposed merger of Adustus and Newman Media. Nate will have to work hard to persuade Victoria that this is a good plan because she isn’t too keen on it. Once she agrees, they will have to work together to persuade Victor.
The issue is that Audra won’t remain CEO once the businesses unite. She might not even hold a position in the new business. She genuinely needs some assurance that she won’t be cast aside, but Adam won’t make any guarantees.
After Adam, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Newman Rosales), Audra tells him that she wants to hold the position of second in the company.
Adam claims to admire some qualities in Audra, but he won’t make any promises in writing. He insists that she must fulfill her end of the bargain before the merger can proceed. Despite her best efforts, she cannot really control the outcome of the situation.
If she fails, however, the revelation of the cover-up would also ruin her reputation. Audra is in a bad situation right now and undoubtedly feels very misled and exposed.
