Mandy Dingle received a call from Zak Dingle this week to inform her of the demise of a member of their family, the largest and most productive family in Emmerdale.

The Dingle family received some shocking news in the most recent Emmerdale episode.

On Thursday’s episode of the ITV soap opera, Mandy Dingle (played by Lisa Riley) and the rest of the family were informed by Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) that one of their uncles had passed away earlier in the week.

Sam Dingle (James Hotton), Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) were informed of the news after Mandy hung up with Zak, to which Sam retorted, “I thought he died years ago.”

The Dingles had previously believed that their uncle had passed away a long time ago.

They were therefore shocked to learn that he had since passed away even though they had only recently been discovered to be alive and well.

I didn’t even know him, Mandy said. He had reportedly been exiled from the family in the 1990s.

Zak was unable to recall the specific grounds for his excommunication from the Dingle clan.

Drisella, though, had communicated with him “on the sly” during their cousin relationship.

Anyway, she needs assistance cleaning the house and asked if we might help. Mandy continued. A volunteer?

Don’t look at me, Paddy retorted. I’m playing the card that says, “Not a proper Dingle.”

She then focused on Sam, who had earlier stated that he needed to leave for work. Later, however, it was determined that Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), Sam and Mandy’s son, would travel to Ireland to investigate what may be found in their late uncle’s house.

Vinny joked that it would be like a “business trip” for the two, with Zak believing there could be a “fortune to be made” because their deceased cousin was a hoarder.

Mandy even suggested that their uncle may have hidden some money around his home. She also insisted that they load up the van with everything they can before taking things to be appraised. If their cousin hasn’t already taken the most priceless goods by the time they arrive.

Despite the fact that it occurred off-screen, this tragedy has not been the first to shake the Emmerdale village in recent months.

Victor Anderson (Eddie Osei) died suddenly just one month ago. Before that, Rishi Sharma (Bhsker Patel), a fan favorite, was discovered dead by his son Jai (Chris Bisson), at the foot of the stairs.

If there are any more unexpected deaths in the Dales, viewers will need to pay attention.
