Coronation Street icon Ken Barlow (William Roache) looks set to put a stop to dodgy Rowan Cunliffe’s (Emrhys Cooper) plans next week.

For most of this year, Leanne Battersby has been fully entwined in the sinister ideologies of the Altovalent Institute, an apparent cult that is spearheaded by Rowan. He’s even asked her to invest 40k in his new resource centre venture.

Following a successful few months, he promoted her to the next ‘level’, meaning she could now recruit new members.

Seeing how stressed Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) was, juggling uni work alongside shifts at the Bistro and managing her mum’s flower shop, Leanne decided she would be the perfect target… ahem, candidate.

Toyah (Georgia Taylor) tried to warn Amy, but sadly, she ignored her outcry and later decided to head onto one of the Institute’s mysterious ‘retreats’.

In upcoming scenes, Rowan provides reassurance to Leanne who is doubting whether distancing herself from Toyah during her cancer treatment was the right move.

Later, Amy tells Leanne that she’s looking to invest some of the inheritance money she got from her much-missed grandma Deirdre – but there’s a catch – she’ll need to get sign-off from Ken first.

As the week progresses, Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) questions her on whether using the money to invest in the Institute is the right thing to do, and warns her not to take a potential huge risk.

After coming to a decision, Rowan informs Leanne of what she’s told her and pressures her to make her mind up on whether she would like to invest.

Leanne asserts that she’s been too focussed on Toyah’s condition and he worries that he’s losing his grip on her – resorting to desperate measures.

Nick receives a message from Rowan saying he must cough up the cash, or he’ll spill the beans about his affair with Toyah.

What will Nick do?
