Fans' 'work Out' Affair Twist Tears Apart A Coronation Street Pair.

Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown of Coronation Street recently enjoyed the wedding of their dreams, but their union may soon be torn apart.

Fans of Coronation Street seem to believe that the arrival of Henry Newton (George Banks) will cause Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) to be torn apart.

In tonight’s episode, Gemma lied to Chesney about running into Henry while she was doing promotional work after he made it clear that he didn’t enjoy their collaboration.

Gemma quickly discovered that Henry had reserved the entire bar for the two of them when she arrived to Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) hotel for their gathering.

After giving Henry her change, Gemma softly flirted with him in an effort to get him to talk to his father about buying the Rovers Return so that it wouldn’t be closed down.

Chesney heard George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) say that Gemma phoned her after she confessed she was seeing Henry today while they were both back in the cafe.

Chesney became irate after Gemma told him she was busy and that Henry wasn’t present during their phone conversation.

After returning from seeing his father, Henry told Gemma that he had decided to purchase the Rovers, prompting Gemma to run up to him and give him a bear hug.

Unfortunately, Chesney entered at that very moment thinking they had set up a covert meeting and punched Henry in the face.

In an effort to salvage the Rovers, the altercation led Henry to withdraw from the contract a second time and compelled Chesney to apologise for assaulting him.

Henry arrived at the Rovers as he was leaving Gemma to collect himself and told her that he was still willing to buy the bar, but on the condition that she work as his personal assistant.

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), who overheard the talk and instantly started to get enthusiastic, was cautioned by Gemma not to accept the position.

After Henry made it clear that he was in love with her, viewers of the soap opera were concerned that Gemma would accept the position and end up having an affair with him.

The commentator @Gemma42981517 observed: “They all go to that hotel to cheat #Corrie.”

The comment from @tmoraitauthor was “Decisions, decisions, eh, Gemma? #Corrie.”

“I can see Gemma eventually having an affair with Henry on Chesney,” remarked Janine Noter. Although I don’t want it to, I can see it happening. (sic)

Gemma’s defence was offered by @RyanTheSoapking, who stated: “Gemma wouldn’t cheat on Chesney with the amount of money she knows she stands to lose. #Corrie.” (sic)
