In an awkward situation, Carla Connor of Coronation Street is about to learn that Stephen Reid had been giving her LSD to mimic the symptoms of psychosis.
Alison King, who plays Carla Connor on Coronation Street, has discussed how her character feels when she learns the truth about Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) and struggles to make the best choice.

According to official spoilers, Carla receives the letter from the clinic confirming that her hair sample contained traces of LSD during tonight’s episode.

She claims that Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo), but after checking the dates of her illness, it doesn’t match up, to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).

When Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) makes Carla a cup of tea and apologizes for it being terrible because Stephen usually makes them, Carla quickly realizes what happened.

She storms out and quickly confides in DS Swain (Vicky Myers) her suspicions regarding Stephen, but is enraged when DS Swain insists that her suspicions are only speculative and that she needs solid proof.

Carla becomes torn when DS Swain also tells her to keep it to herself, but questions whether to tell Jenny Connor (Sally-Ann Matthews) over fears she is in danger.

Alison recently opened up on how torn Carla feels on wanting to warn Jenny but not alert Stephen in the process and told Express.co.uk and other press: “She loves Jenny.

“That is the first indication that Carla gets is when Swain says ‘Don’t mention anything to him, don’t do anything violent, don’t let him know you’re onto him’.

“And I say ‘Why is he dangerous?’ and that is the first indication, of course obviously then she jumps to the conclusion that Jenny is in danger because he has started a relationship with her.

She is torn about telling Jenny because she doesn’t want to be responsible for any more deaths after the ones she has already caused.

She responded, “I don’t think Carla has any idea of just how dangerous he is,” when asked if she believes Carla is aware of Stephen’s potential for danger.

“I believe she believes he is all about the money and the business, and that he will stop at nothing to get them.

But I doubt that she finds him to be especially violent. She doesn’t trust him, but I don’t believe she is aware that he is capable of murder.
