ITV’s spoilers for the upcoming episode of Coronation Street reveal that there is still tension between Todd Grimshaw and George Shuttleworth.
Fans of Coronation Street will be disappointed to learn that Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) and George Shuttleworth’s (Tony Maudsley) hilarious working dynamic doesn’t appear to be returning any time soon.
ITV has revealed spoilers for the episodes airing the following week, and they reveal that Todd is still getting on George’s nerves about being replaced at the funeral home.
Although his name is Lee, Todd has given him the nickname “Lurch” because of his height and the fact that he can’t control his emotions. As they eat toast in Number 11, Todd uses this as an opportunity to rile George.
The normally friendly undertaker, however, is actually offended by his comments, further fracturing their already tense relationship.
Todd quit his job at Shuttleworth’s funeral home to work for their rival Rest Easy, but he hasn’t had an easy time making the switch.

He initially quit because he believed he was worth more money after winning the Young Undertaker of the Year award. He was therefore surprised by how quickly he was replaced.
The fact that George is seeing Todd’s mother Eileen (Sue Cleaver), which has caused some awkward moments between the two, also makes it impossible for the two to avoid one another.
They even exchanged blows at one point, but recently, their relationship seemed to have warmed up a bit.
Todd even suggested having Shuttleworth’s perform at the recent funeral of Shelly Rossington (Natalie Amber).
George isn’t aware of this, but he told Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) that they could give her the send-off they desired rather than his own company.

His dissatisfaction with some of his new employer’s practices regarding the planning of people’s send-offs served as inspiration for the recommendation, in part.
Recently, Todd’s new boss Troy revealed that he had promised a customer a service that the company was unable to provide and instructed Todd to break the bad news. Todd was displeased to be expected to carry out the unsavory task.
Will the two be able to move past the recent events and will Todd ever return to the job that he obviously enjoyed? Todd is obviously unhappy in his new role.
