After suffering an acid attack earlier this year, Ryan Connor has hit rock bottom, as viewers of the ITV daytime soap opera will be aware.
After noticing a significant error on last night’s episode of Coronation Street, ITV viewers weren’t overly impressed.
In a conversation with his romantic interest, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), Ryan Connor (played by Ryan Prescott), admitted to using steroids in scenes from Wednesday night.
After suffering a terrifying acid attack earlier this year, Ryan recently hit rock bottom and turned to drugs to cope.
After the poignant scene, Ryan opened up on social media about abusing steroids to gain weight.
But viewers saw that he was speaking to his online fans while turning off both his camera and microphone.
This meant that as he made his confession to stop using steroids, none of his fans would be able to hear him or even see his face.
When a viewer noticed this, he or she posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, with the comment, “No camera or mike on while he does his big reveal.”
“Damn hate it when that happens,” another person commented. Poor sod will have to repeat the process.
Another wrote: “Well at least he didn’t have a cat filter on like that American lawyer a year or so back on a Zoom call…”
After the acid attack, Ryan started posting fitness videos online in an effort to get fitter.
After being attacked with acid by Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still), he also became addicted to steroids and suffered facial scarring.
Ryan Prescott revealed to Metro.co.uk that “the recovery period is so long, if not lifelong. Psychotherapy and physical therapy are required for many years, if not your entire life.
“PTSD, trauma therapy, and learning how to deal with people staring at you in the street are all important. There is a lengthy period of trying to accept that people will now respond to you differently.
