Simon Barlow of Coronation Street will be returning to live with his mother following the arrival of Bobby, Carla’s nephew.
Shortly after Christmas, Bobby, the incarcerated brother of Carla Donovan, shows up at her doorway. He tells her a heartbreaking tale of why he needs her help, and she grudgingly lets him remain for a few weeks.
In scenes that will appear on Friday, December 29, right before Carla and Bobby leave the apartment, a van pulls up outside.

Bobby recognizes everything in the van as soon as the driver opens the doors, and he realizes that his mother must have made arrangements for them to be sent over because she must have become tired of his disruptive behavior.
It hurts Carla to know that Bobby is here to stay because she is still attempting to come to terms with the end of her relationship with Peter Barlow.
Later on, Simon says he’s going to stay at his mother Leanne’s place and offers Bobby his room.

After having problems with his roommates, Simon moved in with Carla and Peter from a shared apartment away from the Street.
Will Simon be able to adjust to his new situation and deal with Peter’s abrupt departure?
It has been announced that Simon will be involved in an automobile accident with Sam Blakeman in scenes that will premiere in early 2024.
In the next episode, Simon will be driving too fast to get Sam to school on time and end up in an accident.
