The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Lily Catches Daniel With Heather?

While Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Danny (Michael Damian) have gained a lot of attention from fans of The Young and the Restless, it is also important to give the ex-son of the couple some attention of his own while Lily (Christel Khalil) is away.

After a fire broke out close to her school, Lily was making an urgent trip to see her daughter Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) when she departed Genoa City in the episode that aired on December 7. It was revealed in later episodes that Lily would be taking a little vacation to make sure Mattie was alright. (Khalil is actually on maternity leave.) However, Lily’s relationship with Daniel (Michael Graziadei) would face some difficulties without her.

Viewers are well aware that Heather (Vail Bloom) had a thing for Daniel ever since she moved back to Genoa City. She is impressed by how he has changed for the better and grown into a true role model for their daughter. When Daniel, Heather, and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) are in the same room, Heather gets a sparkle in her eyes that makes it seem as though she wishes Lily hadn’t gotten in the way of their reunion as a family.

Again, though, Lily is only gone for a short while, giving Heather a chance to get back in touch with Daniel. Will Heather accept it then? Maybe.

Heather has already discovered that she gets to spend some unstructured family time with Daniel since Lily left. One of these occasions was even captured by Abby (Melissa Ordway), who was observing from a safe distance. Though clearly disturbed by what she observed, the Newman heiress kept her mouth shut.

Furthermore, Phyllis has made it clear that she is a fan of Heather and Daniel, even if she has promised not to meddle in Daniel’s romantic life. We think Phyllis would be Heather’s strongest supporter if she decided to pursue Daniel.

All of that being said, it appears highly likely that Daniel and Heather will soon find themselves in a tight situation without Lucy present. In the event that this takes place, we may picture Heather surprising Daniel by declaring her affections and planting a kiss. Daniel might battle his emotions at first, but in the end, he might give in.

Then, in the thick of the moment, Lily might abruptly reappearance to uncover Heather and Daniel’s infidelity. Remember that Lily has a key to Daniel’s house, so it’s very likely that she will find her boyfriend and his ex in the act.
