Supporters of both teams have had a difficult week. The happy party for Cash and Eden, who had recently become engaged, turned tragic when their favorite character, Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis), collapsed to the ground and became unconscious.
It was discovered that Flick had experienced a brain aneurysm. Although she survived surgery, a further bleed put her back in a severe condition, meaning that her life may not have much longer to go. The turn of events has left viewers sad, but Jacqui Purvis told Yahoo Lifestyle that she had to leave the program in order to pursue her Hollywood dream, adding, “I knew I wanted an international career, so, I had to make the decision to leave and take the plunge.”
Fans are grieving over two major issues: Tane’s lack of opportunity to win Flick back, and Harper’s failure to inform him of her pregnancy, which will soon come to an end.
Naturally, I wish he had confessed his love to her before this incident. One devastated admirer posted on social media, “I know that almost every single person who watches wished they ran off together living their happy ever after.”
“I had hoped they would get back together—what a great pair with so much history! Loved their Monday night dancing atmosphere,” said another.
It’s going to hit Tane quite hard, poor guy. A third commented, “Flick is still the love of his life. Tane will probably do his Kiwi thing next week to let out his grief and anger,”
Another said, “Tane won’t be the same.”
Another person said, “What a shame Tane hadn’t told Felicity he still loved her?” To which another person retorted, “Hopefully he will when he says his final goodbyes.” It will break our hearts. They are each other’s greatest loves in life.”
One irate fan added, “Harper is such a hypocrite, lecturing Tane about not coming clean.”
“I just wish Harper would hurry up and tell Tane she’s preg[nant],” another person said.
Another asked, “You think Harper is going to tell Tane anytime soon?”
“Perhaps Harper will inform Tane as soon as possible,” added a fourth watcher.
Some fans conjectured that she might never inform him that Flick has passed away and that, even if she did, she might not receive the happy ending that she so obviously desires.
“I don’t think Harper can tell Tane now that he is the father because there is no future for her with Tane, he will always love Felicity & not Harper, he would only want the child,” a fan suggested.
“She’s going to use Felicity’s death as an excuse to drag out telling him longer – I reckon will get caught out instead of her telling him,” a different person stated.
“Tane will never feel the same about anyone – including Harper – like he felt for Felicity,” was the second statement.
A ridiculous suggestion was made by a fan that if Harper ever told Tane she was carrying a child, they may name her after Tane’s late wife.
“Tane is not coping he has always loved Felicity and if Harper has a girl maybe they will name her Felicity,” they said.
One person said, “Oh hell no,” right away.
“That’d be incorrect,” replied someone else.
“That would be pretty creepy naming a daughter after one’s ex-wife, especially if he and Harper got together,” wrote one another individual.
