Georgie Parker, star of Home and Away, will be taking a hiatus from the show following surgery.
Last month, Parker, who plays Roo Stewart, underwent her second hip replacement procedure. She recently gave her admirers an update on her health, stating that she has been recovering for three weeks.
“I have been occupied. Last Monday, she posted on Instagram, “I’m finishing a play and going straight into another theater (get it 🥁) for a new hip.”
“Thank God, I had the same outstanding physician and his team for my second procedure in six years. I adore recovery but detest drugs 🤢🥴,” she went on.

“I’m 3 weeks post op, recovery is going well and I’ve had the most brilliant support from my family, my work place and my incredible friends 🥰.”
“Practicing patience now while I heal…… so I can get back to work baby,” she stated.
Parker’s character Roo made the decision to open her house and take in children in need as an emergency foster caregiver in recently broadcast scenes from house and Away in the UK.
After an open discussion, her father Alf—who fully supports his daughter’s dream—and her resolved any early concerns about her plans.
