The star of Home and Away, Jessica Redmayne, has reacted to cruel tweets she got regarding the baby plot involving her character Harper Matheson.

After Tane’s ex-wife Felicity passed away, scenes that have aired in Australia have shown Harper finding out that she is expecting Tane Parata’s child.

However, after posting a teaser video of Harper telling Tane the news, the actor got some backlash from people—especially considering that Tane and Felicity were a well-liked pair.

After receiving criticism, Jessica sent a message to her Instagram Stories, saying, “Please don’t message me telling me to stay away from Tane or how much you hate Harper.”

“My name is Jess, and I perform on stage. I am an actor, not a writer. I’m proud of my job, therefore I shared that promo.

Jessica made the suggestion that fans should be allowed to express their opinions in a later video, but she asked that they refrain from “attacking” actors who are simply performing.

“I would like to express my gratitude to all those who have sent me messages expressing their love and support,” she stated. “I’m blown away by the amount of response to the post I made last night.

Additionally, I wanted to emphasize that people should never stop sharing their thoughts about the program because it’s great that people have strong feelings about the characters and you can see that you have a lot of attachment to them. Never give up sharing such thoughts.

“But I guess the point that I was making was that please don’t enter our DMs and attack us as actors,” the celebrity said. due to the fact that we are actors narrating a story while assuming a character. So, yes, that is what we do.

However, I appreciate you becoming fans. I’m grateful that you enjoy the show, and I’m also grateful to my family and friends for their love, support, and kindness. Thank you so much for that.
