We genuinely agree with Katherine Dow Blyton’s funny story proposal, which she submitted as an Emmerdale cast member.
From 2013 to 2022, Katherine portrayed policewoman-turned-vicar-turned-policewoman-again Harriet Finch. Sadly, the character was destroyed by the terrifying 50th anniversary storm.
After a quad-biking accident, poor Harriet lost her life while fighting with Kim Tate (Claire King) over her lover Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).
Katherine caught up with her co-stars at the Cure Usher Ball over the weekend, where she paused to speak with Emma Atkins, Zoe Henry, and Charlotte Bellamy for a conversation with Metro.co.uk.
“Katrina is someone we can’t live without; we see her every day!” Rhona Goskirk’s actress Zoe made light of the reunion.

“It’s enough that I only see them once a year!” Katherine made jokes.
Actress Charlotte said that Laurel “jumps on the vicar” as the talk shifted to Laurel Thomas’s new romantic interest, Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin). Emma and Katherine looked surprised.
It wasn’t the first time, Zoe quickly pointed out, and Katherine laughed hysterically, saying, “She loves somebody in a dog collar.” She never leaped on Harriet, though!
Charlotte chuckled, “That’s a whole new twist,” and Katherine followed up, saying, “And I was always open for it!”

We quickly made light of the possibility that it may still occur in the future, and Katherine conceded that Harriet might reappear as a ghost for the lesbian romance.
But in later scenes, Lauren “jumps on” Charles rather than Harriet, which presents a challenge considering his relationship with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).
What lies next for Manpreet, Charles, and Laurel? And will Harriet ever reappear as a ghost?
