In EastEnders, the one and only David Wicks (Michael French) has finally uncovered Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Collins) and Junior Knight’s (Micah Balfour) romance.
At the conclusion of the previous week, David went back to Walford to visit his daughter Bianca (Patsy Palmer).Since she has been having mental health issues for some months, her friend Kat (Jessie Wallace) contacted David in the hopes that he could provide some support.
It was never going to be easy for David to return to his old house after all these years, but he most definitely didn’t anticipate to run across two occupants who were thought to be deceased the last time he was in Albert Square.
Cindy, his ex, was one of them. David realized he had a lot to catch up on after learning, to his astonishment, that Cindy and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) were still together yesterday, when the Knights were mentioned.
In tonight’s show, David felt he could chat to Bianca and try to win Cindy back at the same time, thereby accomplishing two goals at once. He told his daughter that Cindy worked at Beale’s Eels and that they should meet there for lunch.
Bianca talked candidly about her mental health as they sat down, speculating that she could have melancholy or ADHD. David kept reminding her that seeing a doctor and seeking aid were important, but she appeared certain that her symptoms were only a “blip.”
Ian was becoming more and more irritated with David’s presence throughout this time. Ian, who was a little suspicious, instructed Cindy to kiss him without realizing that the man standing behind Cindy was the issue, not David.
Junior went inside the restaurant in search of Cindy, who hadn’t been in communication with him as much since getting engaged.
But she swiftly went back to her old habits that evening.
Everyone was invited to Ian and Cindy’s engagement celebration, which was being held in the bar. As the celebration was getting underway, David was breaking the news to Bianca that he had to go for work-related reasons and was bidding her a tearful farewell.
Bianca couldn’t help but cry a little when she saw her father go again since she had promised him she would receive help for her mental health.
David made the decision to stop at the bar for a drink before leaving as he strolled around the Square.
After finding out that Junior had slept with Bianca when he first arrived, he ultimately confronted Junior. When Junior said that Bianca was desperate, David became enraged and accused Junior of taking advantage of his daughter.
Cindy located Junior on the side of the bar. Surprisingly, he mentioned the possibility of making their affair more serious, but Cindy believed Junior wasn’t really cut out for a committed commitment.
At just the right moment, Junior and Cindy shared a kiss as David was leaving the bar. He heard the sound, retraced his steps, and discovered his former partner had betrayed his brother.
Oh no.
David doesn’t seem to be heading out of Albert Square anytime soon.
