When secrets and lies blow out on EastEnders, a heated confrontation may result in another character leaving Walford as Penny Branning decides to leave Albert Square next week.
In light of recent developments, a resident of Albert Square has declared they would be permanently departing from EastEnders next week. When Kitty Castledine’s character Penny Branning decides to leave Walford due to the ongoing consequences from the terrible crush at Peggy’s nightclub, it appears like she may be heading out of the BBC serial opera. Many partygoers were hurt in the event, which occurred when the club got dangerously packed, and Penny has been held responsible.

Less than a year after her dramatic comeback on New Year’s Day, Penny may be departing the program as she chooses to leave Albert Square and return to Paris. Though fans are aware that Chelsea Fox’s (Zaraah Abrahams) resentful behavior was what first sparked the crush rather than Penny, perhaps a second exit is planned for when her family learns the truth next week?
After Penny’s sister Amy, who sustained injuries in the crush, becomes irate at her protracted recuperation, the prospective double escape begins. Amy loses her temper and fights with Penny. Penny decides to leave Walford after being discouraged by her family’s accusation that she caused the accident. She promptly informs her family of her choice.

But after Penny announces her departure, the Brannings and Penny argue, and things get out of hand. When things grow heated, Denise finally breaks the silence and says that Chelsea, not Penny, was the one who caused the crush. Everyone in the room is in shock and is calling for clarification.
When Chelsea’s guilt is eventually revealed, it’s unclear if Penny will still depart, but other individuals encourage Chelsea to turn herself in at the police station. Chelsea has previously been afoul of the law, so even if she confesses, could she face prison time considering the seriousness of the crush event and her lying about her involvement?
Jack encourages Chelsea to turn herself in at the station when Penny confronts her once more. Chelsea still won’t acknowledge her culpability to the authorities, though. Chelsea does ultimately choose to turn herself in after talking with Amy and Lauren. She soon bids her son Jordan farewell and makes her way to the station.

Could EastEnders viewers be losing two of their favorite characters at once as Penny and Chelsea’s futures in Walford are in jeopardy?
One of the topics that has EastEnders viewers captivated right now is the drama. The most recent instance of the show creating a stir among viewers was when Paul Nicholls, who played Joe Wicks, made an unexpected appearance. Joe Wicks was last seen on television 27 years ago.
