Xander (Luke Van Os) informed his supervisor Mackenzie (Emily Weir) in yesterday’s episode that he had to do an internship as a requirement of the business course he has been taking for the past few months.

He asked Mac whether he could take some time off from his work as a barman at Salt since he explained that he needed to participate in the internship in order to finish his module and pass the course.

In order to fulfill his dream of one day owning his own company, Xander recently made the decision to enroll in the course, which he has been doing off-screen ever since.

More recently, he had hoped to purchase Salt after his late sister Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) left Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) half of the company. However, Cash ultimately decided to sell Flick’s portion of the company back to Mackenzie, granting her complete control over the restaurant she opened shortly after arriving in the bay.

In addition to requesting a six-week leave of absence, Xander anticipated that Mackenzie would utilize her business connections to assist him in finding a job.

After Mac agreed to assist, Xander told his girlfriend Dana (Ally Harris) that he would fail his module if Mac was unable to find him a placement.

Xander thought it provided “a taste of the business world, I guess,” while Dana thought it was an especially cruel move on the part of the course coordinator.

Xander was concerned that he wouldn’t find a placement in time as Mac later confirmed that she had called one of her friends and left a message, but had not heard back.

In today’s episode, Mac revealed that she had successfully arranged a placement for Xander after getting a text back from her buddy. However, there was a catch.

Mac informed an ecstatic Xander, “A placement has suddenly become available.” “The bad news is that it begins the day after tomorrow and will be in Melbourne for six weeks!”

Dana granted her approval and advised Xander to “just call the guy” after he asked whether she was comfortable with him leaving Summer Bay for six weeks.

But even with Dana’s support, it was obvious that she was having trouble.

John (Shane Withington) saw the anguished expression on Dana’s face as Rose (Kirsty Marillier) went to assist her brother with packing.

He made the obvious remark, “You’re going to miss him.”

Xander promised his lover that “time’s gonna fly by, you won’t even get a chance to miss me” as they bid each other farewell.

Before the two exchanged “I love yous,” Dana said, fighting back tears, “I already do.”

It is thought that Xander is leaving the bay permanently, even if he may just be going to stay for six weeks.

For several months, actor Luke Van Os has not been spotted filming at Sydney’s Palm Beach, which serves as the exterior setting for Summer Bay. Based on his Instagram, it appears that he is currently overseas.

Last week, a teaser for Home and Away also revealed that one character will be leaving. Theo (Matt Evans), Dana, Kirby (Angelina Thomson), Xander, Tane (Ethan Browne), and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) were the choices for the teaser that “a loved friend will leave the bay.”

In recent months, the remaining actors have all been spotted filming, indicating that Xander will be the one departing Summer Bay.

In episode 7759, which aired in Australia on March 31, 2022, Xander made his on-screen debut. He arrived with his half-sister Rose to find his other half-sister, Jasmine (Sam Frost), who was unaware of their presence.

We later found out that Jasmine’s father abandoned her after her mother passed away, leaving her to grow up in foster care after she moved to Summer Bay in late 2017.

Jasmine didn’t know that her original father had Xander in what seemed to be a beautiful marriage with Rose’s mother, and at first, she found it difficult to embrace her new siblings.

Only two months after Xander and Rose arrived, Jasmine left Summer Bay. The writing team of Home and Away quickly rewrote the show after Sam Frost left for what was first thought to be a temporary departure but was later made permanent.

By then, Xander and Rose had made their home in Summer Bay, where they were assigned to the police and ambulance stations in Yabbie Creek, respectively. Later, they moved in together in the Pier Apartment, which was located above the diner.

Xander became friends with Millie (Zara Zoe), one of his patients, when she lost her best friend in a car accident. In addition to helping Millie cope with her guilt, he saved her life when she tried to drown in the sea.

After looking at her phone, Millie confessed to Xander that she was at fault as her recollection of the accident returned. Since Logan (Harley Bonner), the other motorist, had been caught speeding, all eyes had been on him. After Millie tried to coerce Xander into remaining silent, he was compelled to defend his friend and expose the truth to the police.

After Millie (Zara Zoe), one of his patients, lost her best friend in a vehicle accident, Xander became friends with her. He saved Millie’s life when she attempted to drown in the sea and also assisted her in overcoming her guilt.

As her memory of the accident resurfaced, Millie looked at her phone and admitted to Xander that she was at blame. All eyes had been on Logan (Harley Bonner), the other driver, since he was caught speeding. Xander was forced to stand up for his friend and tell the cops the truth after Millie attempted to intimidate him into keeping quiet.

After learning that Jasmine would not be going back to Summer Bay, Xander went into even greater despair, which resulted in the infection of another new tattoo. However, things quickly improved when he began dating gym employee Stacey Collingwood (Maleeka Gasbarri).

Regretfully, Stacey didn’t support monogamy, and although Xander made an effort to appear courageous and try an open relationship, it finally proved to be too much for him. Stacey tried to be exclusive and told Xander that she wanted to be with him, but soon after Rose discovered her in a car with another man, Xander ended their relationship.

When Xander and his coworker Jamie (Hugo Liu) were ambushed during a callout, tragedy occurred. Jamie was brutally attacked, leaving Xander struggling for his life as Jamie died.

When Xander woke up from the anesthesia after urgent surgery for a ruptured spleen, he experienced post-operative confusion and needed to be sedated by Bree.

After attending the burial and processing the news of Jamie’s passing, Xander made the decision to resign from his position as a paramedic.

Xander later became friends with Jamie’s widow Kate (Ruby Maishman) after taking a job as a bartender at Salt, but it quickly became clear that she was growing too reliant on him. Following their sexual encounter, Xander ended their relationship because he felt that his presence in her life was not beneficial.

When Xander found out that Rose was looking for her biological father, he became irate and wondered if his own father’s position as her stepfather had not been sufficient for her.

Xander was uncomfortable with keeping their mixed-race heritage a secret from his mother Yvette, but he finally understood when Rose said that she felt a part of her was missing.

Xander quickly rose to the position of Events Manager at Salt, and his experience as a paramedic came in handy when Mackenzie had a heart attack there. He subsequently organized a fundraising for Mac’s condition, SCAD.

Harper’s sister Dana proposed to Xander as a date after he organized a singles night at Salt. It was especially embarrassing when he showed up to pick Harper up and discovered that she was unaware of it. Despite having a good evening together, they decided to stay friends.

Dana quickly realized that she was crushing on Xander, and when John dragged them into a fictitious wedding for his celebrant training, their feelings were sparked and they ended up dating.

Dana quickly put his relationship to the test when she started to doubt Irene’s new roommate Bronte (Stefanie Caccamo), who claimed to have a fatal illness. Irene and her friends banded together to raise money to take her to Canada for experimental therapy, but Xander rejected Dana’s accusations and told her to abandon her alleged grudge. Dana was the only one who saw through the deception of Bronte.

Later, when Bronte abducted her and imprisoned her in a shipping container in the midst of the bush, Dana was shown to be correct. After realizing Bronte’s deceit, Xander and John hurried to her aid; nevertheless, Dana refused to forgive Xander for failing to support her and ultimately decided to break up with him.

The following week, Xander suffered a surfing accident that left him temporarily paralyzed. Dana helped him stay in the hospital for the next few days. Fortunately, when the initial swelling had decreased, he quickly regained sensation in his legs.

The two decided to start afresh, but Xander had another small doubt when he questioned whether Dana had only felt sorry for him when he was in the hospital.

When Xander heard Dana and Harper discussing their pregnancy, he became anxious and thought he was about to become a father. However, he was happy to learn that Harper was the one who was pregnant.

Later, Xander assisted in planning Cash and Eden’s engagement party, but he was crushed when boss Flick passed away after collapsing due to a brain aneurysm.

With some inheritance money and ambulance service compensation still in his coffers, Xander suggested buying out Cash when he took over Flick’s portion of Salt. However, Cash clarified that he had no interest in selling.

However, Xander’s desire to start his own company unexpectedly grew, and he enrolled in the business course that would ultimately lead to his departure today.

Next year, Rose is also anticipated to depart the show. Earlier this month, Belinda Sinclair, a fan of the program, saw Kirsty Marillier filming what seemed to be her character’s exit sequence. She shared the video to the Home and Away Spoilers & Info Facebook group.

In the aforementioned incident, Rose was driving out of the bay when she was approached by Irene (Lynne McGranger), Kirby, and Bree (Juliet Godwin), who forced her to halt.

Irene was heard saying, “There you go, love,” as she gave Rose a parting gift when she got out of the car.

After giving each of the three a hug, Rose got back in the car and drove away from the bay.

When Kirby yells, “Go get ’em, Detective!” the others applaud. They yell, “We love you, drive safely,” as Rose leaves.

Remi (played by Adam Rowland) approaches her farewell party from behind as Rose drives off, waves goodbye one last time and yells, “See ya, Rose.”

Rose is currently employed at the Yabbie Creek Police Station as a Senior Constable, but it looks like she will relocate out of the area to pursue her goals if she is promoted to Detective.

In the episode 7760 that aired on Australian television on April 4, 2022, Rose arrived in Summer Bay one episode later than her brother Xander.
