Acting great Jodie Prenger recently discussed her concerns about losing her job on Coronation Street as Todd Boyce’s (Stephen Reid’s) homicidal plot develops.

Glenda Shuttleworth is portrayed by Jodie in the show. She manages the Little Big Shotz performance group and works in the bar with people like Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan). She is the sister of George (Tony Maudsley).

The current most dramatic plot in Corrie is Stephen’s rule of terror. Stephen is a man on edge who has now killed three characters and could kill again for a fourth time at any moment.

Jodie Prenger has said that she understands Glenda has never liked Stephen in light of the current plot and the role her character has played; this doesn’t put her in a secure position moving forward.

Since he stole that £10 note, Glenda has never liked him. She recognises it, is that right? She claimed to Digital Spy, “I think Glenda goes on a gut reaction and I don’t think she thinks he’s good news.”

Jodie said: “But the sad thing is, [in real life] he’s one of the nicest people!” as she considered the stark contrast between Stephen Reid and Todd, who portrays him. Everyone queries that.

They ask, “Oh, what’s Stephen like?” when you describe what is happening. He really is the sweetest man ever.

Of course it’s a worry, she said, because you never know what will occur.

“What if he captures me? “Glenda was right!” would had to be the universal response.

It suffices to state that Stephen Reid’s time is beginning to run out. It’s only a matter of time before the truth is revealed given that Todd was recently seen filming sequences at an airport and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is convinced that the businessman is hiding something dark.

But in the interim, how many more victims will Stephen murder?
