The possibility that their Christmas Day episode of the BBC soap opera will be rescheduled did not sit well with EastEnders viewers. On December 25, there may be a change in the time of the holiday episode.

At 9 p.m., spectators usually settle down to enjoy the sensational happenings of the show. However, according to the Mirror, it is believed that this year it would not air until 10 p.m.

One frustrated fan took to X and posted: “I want my EastEnders at 8pm then I can go to BED.” For another, the potential rescheduling was ‘diabolical’.

“10pm???” wrote a third. That must be valuable, not simply a traumatizing experience for Linda. Another indifferent fan, however, stated: “I host my pals for Christmas dinner. By the time EastEnders comes on, I’m usually either too inebriated or unconscious. For me, it’s a hungover Boxing Day ritual rather than a Christmas one.

A member on Reddit thought: “Logical explanation is that it needs to be past the watershed for some reason due to content.” Another said: “I imagine they have a major event planned that won’t be suitable for watching before 9 p.m. Because they fit in so much on days like Christmas Day, 10 p.m. is only a coincidence.

Fans have stated that there was a lot to ‘live up to’ after last year’s The Six plotline, but soap opera executives have been silent about their Christmas plans. However, after paparazzi photos showed a funeral scene being filmed early this year, there were rumors that a beloved character might be killed off.

Many fans were concerned that Linda would be leaving with tears in her eyes when they saw actors Danny Hatchard and Maddy Hill reprising their parts as siblings Nancy and Lee Carter.
