It appears that there will be a significant twist as ITV viewers get ready to watch the first gay wedding in the soap opera.
According to official spoilers, Paul will receive preparation assistance from his mother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) and twin sister Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose) at their house the following week.
The wedding guests take their seats as Weatherfield locals prepare for the big celebration at the bistro.
Billy waits for Paul with his heart full of love as he makes his way down the aisle with Bernie and Gemma’s assistance.
The registrar marries them as they exchange vows, and the residents cheer as they do so.
After the wedding, Billy is surprised to learn that his new husband has been keeping a very important secret from him.

Later, alongside his new husband Billy, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), and his new wheelchair, Paul surveys the delivery.
They are quickly disappointed to learn that it won’t fit through the flat’s doorway.
A parishioner named Babs approaches Billy as Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) measures the doorway to ensure that the chair will fit through.
She presents him with a bottle of champagne and wishes him a happy marriage to Paul, much to his relief.
Not everyone is as happy for the couple, though, as another parishioner named Vaughn expresses his opinions.
Billy gets angry after being told he should be ashamed of himself for marrying Paul.
Billy, who is unaware that Paul has heard everything, is scolded by the parishioner, who is told not to worry because his husband is dying.
Will Paul challenge Billy about his sarcastic remarks? Or has the truth of his future begun to dawn on him?
