As the investigation into Lauren Bolton’s disappearance and possible murder progresses, fans of Coronation Street believe they have located her kidnapper. After an unknown visitation to her apartment, the teenager was last seen in Weatherfield more than three weeks ago.

Viewers of the ITV soap opera will recall that Roy Cropper last seen Lauren on the cobblestones on February 23. After he fired her from her position at the café for stealing from patron Bethany Platt’s bag, the beloved character paid her a visit in her apartment with her earnings.

In addition to the money she was due, he offered her a little extra to try and make ends meet while she was unemployed. Although she made mention of maybe leaving Weatherfield, her departure was quite sudden, and Bobby—her possible new love interest—found her apartment unlocked and Lauren nowhere to be found.

As a result of his deep clean performed as a favor for the apartment’s original renter Evelyn Plummer, Roy ended up being the last person to see Lauren before she abruptly vanished, placing him in the frame as the main suspect behind her disappearance and what is being considered her murder after blood was discovered in her apartment.

Roy’s freedom was in jeopardy last week when DS Swain brought him to the police station for questioning. Although he was later freed with a curfew pending additional investigation, there were unsettling scenes.

While on Monday night’s inaugural excursion to Weatherfield for the week, viewers witnessed numerous inhabitants of the street expressing worry and backing for Roy. However, things got really serious when he was held up in a Roys Rolls with two suspicious guys who had been dispatched to question him by Lauren’s father, Reece.

Although Nick Tilsely and Carla Barlow fortunately spared him, he has been tormented ever since because of images and videos that have been uploaded to the internet portraying him as a killer.

In addition to Roy, however, Daniel Osbourne—who once tutored Lauren—has also been questioned by authorities. Daniel overheard Max making fun of his cousin Bethany Platt for being a suspect on Wednesday’s (March20) episode of Corrie, and he confronted the troublesome kid.

Daniel, in a fit of wrath, speculated that Max might be the one responsible for the disappearance and that’s why he’s attempting to blame everyone else. But later, Daniel was incensed since he had just learned that he had been suspended from his work due to a tip about being questioned by the police, which he was certain Max had made.

When he approached the adolescent, he immediately grew defensive and retaliated. Later, at a vigil for Lauren, Max’s actions raised additional questions in the minds of the audience, especially because of the manner he handled his friend’s abduction.

“We’re not going to see her,” remarked @liadaksy. “Max, do you know something that everyone else doesn’t?!” #Corrie. Reiterated by @ChewBarker78: “What was it, Max? You are aware that she won’t return. So why is that #Corrie?” @chickinjeans said: “Oh my god. If Max is dead, then maybe it was her. #corrie.

“I’m also starting to suspect Max. Why is he hell-bent on making everyone guilty?” wrote @liadaksy. #Corrie. “Should start looking at Max, he’s accusing everyone else,” wrote @KellyBu67731656. #corrie. Some, however, continue to associate Max with another viewpoint.

“My theory is that Lauren was attacked in her apartment by a guy from the sex channel she watches,” wrote @cassam101. Max’s partner discovered her in the apartment and is keeping her hidden out of fear. It’s been a long time since Max’s GF appeared on screen. #corrie. @craggsy82 continued, saying, “Max and his girlfriend are the only people who could have hurt Lauren. #corrie.
