Coronation Street Spoilers: Stephen Reid's Death 'confirmed' When Body Is Discovered

In Coronation Street, Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) demise is finally drawing near as the killer’s deeds catch up with him, and new images from an on-location shot have confirmed that a body has been discovered.

ITV soap opera actors were seen filming in Manchester for forthcoming scenes in which a vehicle rooftop box will be taken out of the canal.

Gail Platt, Sally Metcalfe, PC Craig Tinker, and DS Swain, played by Helen Worth, Sally Dynevor, Colson Smith, and Vicky Myers, were all seen acting out the parts while they were being shot, seeming surprised by the finding.

Paula Wilcox, who portrays Elaine Jones, was also present, which is especially noteworthy given that she was just axed from the show after discovering Stephen was up to no good.

Will Elaine’s arrival play a role in the killer’s capture?

Regarding the rooftop box, viewers of the serial drama will be familiar with the fact that Stephen utilised the aforementioned object to dispose of Teddy’s body when he became his second victim.

As viewers will recall, Leo’s father, Teddy, was tragically murdered by Stephen last year, marking the assassin’s first victim. Teddy set out to discover what had happened to his son, and he quickly realised that Stephen was to fault.

The devastated father was killed, and Stephen got rid of his body during a particularly dark night by using the rooftop box, which he loaded with heavy pebbles, to lower the corpse to the bottom of the canal. After feverishly attempting to hide his tracks, Stephen finally turned to murder once more.

We assume he is resourceful by nature.

While Tim, Elaine’s own son, later confronted the murderer, Elaine was thrilled to marry Stephen but quickly began to think that he was up to no good.

Tim will be Stephen’s next victim; prior photos from this week’s on-location shoot showed the assassin going out of his way to attempt and kill the taxi driver. Tim had long been wary of him.

Whether or not he will succeed remains to be seen, but the most recent batch of production images suggests that something sinister has happened, with the characters Gail, Elaine, and Sally present at the police cordon all having a direct connection to either Stephen, Tim, or both.

Have they perhaps been informed of what has happened?

We’ll just have to wait and see, but we do know that Stephen’s misdeeds are going to come back to haunt him, and it’s only a matter of time before he is made to pay.
