EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street fans ere set to see love blossom inside the Rovers Return once more as bubbly barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth hosts a speed dating event
After an exciting night of speed dating, a Coronation Street favorite indicated that love might be in the works soon.
Following their successful repurchase of the Rovers Return, Daisy Midgeley and Jenny Connor have been devising strategies to increase foot traffic at the cherished bar. Fans may see the couple this week at a speed dating session led by attractive single bartender Glenda Shuttleworth.
It didn’t take long for the fiery redhead to become a fan favorite after joining the ITV cobbles in 2022. The flamboyant attitude and stunning appearance of the single woman haven’t stopped her from failing to find love, though.
Actress Jodie Pregner has now hinted that the attractive bartender may soon find love in the arms of a “unlikely suitor.” In an interview with Daily Star and other media, the television personality expressed her expectations for her role in the upcoming months.

“I think she just wants to be loved by someone and she’s never really met anyone to love her,” the 44-year-old actress said to us. She probably jokes and laughs about it, but it breaks her down on the inside.
“She makes jokes about the guys, but her true desire is to say, ‘Oh, I wish I could meet someone.'” Jodie shrieked in response to the question of what her character’s future holds: “It’s safe to say romance is in the works.”
“I’m not sure who’s happier, Glenda or Jodie. Indeed, a romantic relationship is in the works, but I won’t reveal who. It’s a truly beautiful story, even though he seems like an unlikely suitor.

After recalling how viewers had expressed their enthusiasm for her character on the show, the soap opera siren continued to showered the fans with admiration. Jodie exclaimed, “It feels like being a part of a large family, and that is one of the best things that Coronation Street still has today.”
It’s nice that people ask me questions like, “Oh, when will she find love?” I adore how it seems like your pals are always asking, “Oh, are they ever going to get you a nice fella?” I adore that so much.
To find out who the TV favorite ends up with on the renowned cobbles, fans will have to tune in. However, the actor has been working on projects outside of Coronation Street.

Behind the scenes, the TV personality recently made a comeback to the stage, playing the strong Mama Rose in a concert version of Stephen Sondheim’s Gypsy. The Hope Mill Theatre, a location that holds special meaning for Jodie, will receive the earnings from the performance, which was held in support of a worthy cause.
Jodie wasn’t the only well-known face who attended; a number of other well-known people also appeared on stage beside her. Watchers will have to wait to see the celebrity strut her stuff while she greets patrons at the bar for the glitzy speed dating occasion.
