As residents of the cobbles begin to learn about Stephen Reid’s sinister past, Coronation Street fans fear that his days are numbered.
Viewers of Coronation Street think that the police may have to pursue Todd Boyce’s Stephen Reid as he tries to flee the country.

Following the discovery of Leo Thompkins’ (Joe Frost) body, recent scenes show the killer’s past crimes beginning to catch up with him.

He is aware that the police will begin to connect him to Leo’s dad Teddy Thompkins’ (Grant Burgin) murder and disposal in the canal, as well as Rufus Donahue’s (Steven Meo) drowning.

He’s been able to convince his new love Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), who is unaware that he’s trying to flee the country, to move to Thailand with him because he doesn’t want to get caught.

Viewers anticipate an epic police chase because of his impending demise and Carla Connor’s (Alison King) realization that he was the one who injected her with LSD.

Taking to Twitter, @OliReading questioned: “#Corrie, is there going to be a police chase to the airport to stop Stephen leaving.”

@CHG3899 warned: “Oohh time is running out Stephen!”

Realising Jenny is planning to leave with Stephen, viewer @DavidBoink highlighted: “Oh well, Jenny nice knowing you. She’ll be first to be held hostage if Stephen is up against it.”

@RyanTheSoapking added: “Stephen planning a quick getaway.”

It appears as though Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) has put himself in danger as the truth begins to encircle Stephen.

Tim investigates the canal after spotting the killer acting suspiciously there a few days earlier in scenes that will air next week.

He’s stunned as he pokes around in the water when a corpse’s hand comes to the surface.

The phone line cuts out as Stephen runs back to his taxi to call the police, and before he can tell them about the dead body, he climbs into the back of the vehicle.

Tim manages to escape the scene as the attacker attempts to strangle him with a tie.

He stumbles on the floor after tripping over his shoelace, and even though he manages to stand up, Stephen hits him in the head with a brick.

Has Tim become the target of Stephen’s wrath as his deceptions, plots, and murders begin to catch up with him?
