Next week, Alya Nazir of Coronation Street will press Geoff Metcalfe for an explanation as the show’s coercive control plot continues.

Over the past few months, viewers have watched in horror as Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) has verbally and mentally tortured his wife Yasmeen (Shelley King).

In upcoming episodes, people will begin to suspect Geoff because they will realize that Yasmeen isn’t acting like herself.

In this Friday’s (February 28) hour-long episode, after another argument, Yasmeen breaks down in tears in the backyard, and her neighbor Gail Rodwell hears her.

After learning about her grandmother’s mental state from Gail, Alya (Sair Khan) becomes determined to learn more.

According to fresh teasers on the official Coronation Street website, Alya will act next week, showing up to Number 6 and requesting to know if Yasmeen is okay.

Alya is more worried than ever that something is wrong because Geoff is evasive when she questions him.

When Geoff is next alone himself with Yasmeen, he plays the pity card out of fear that he might lose control.

Yasmeen feels compelled to console an upset Geoff when he tells her that he wouldn’t be able to handle life without her. Will Yasmeen remain on board in light of this?
