EXCLUSIVE: The fall of Stephen Reid from Coronation Street has affected the entire community, especially the Platt family and Carla Connor.
Alison King’s portrayal of Carla Connor from Coronation Street may be preparing for war with Weatherfield’s citizens and her fellow Underworld associates.
Following Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) murder of Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce), the investigation into his crimes continues in upcoming scenes.
After Stephen stole £250,000, Carla assures her Underworld coworkers that she will fight tenaciously to keep the factory open.
She says she intends to travel to Spain in an effort to strike a lucrative business deal and try to prevent the factory from closing down.
Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment), Simon Barlow (Alex Bain), and Beth Tinker (Lisa George) start to worry about their pay and futures at Underworld.

Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell), who assisted Stephen in stealing the money, learns elsewhere that he is losing his job.
What does the future hold for Underworld, and can Carla save both her job and her staff?
Actress Alison King, who played Carla, recently discussed the long-term effects of Stephen’s crimes and acknowledged that the Underworld staff might turn against her.
She told Express.co.uk and other media outlets that she had answers, adding that the good thing was that she would know the details of everything that had occurred.

“The damage to the factory is whether or not that can be solved, as well as what damage that will cause.
“With Carla, you always come up against the street or the street comes up against her, and it’s usually in the vicinity of the factory or the money and the lives of people.
“They own half that money, so they should be watching out for their own money as much as Carla.”
Regarding Michael losing his job, Ryan Rusell said: “I believe he will just say, “I cost Underworld thousands of pounds.
And asking themselves, “How am I going to pay them back? Will my employment be in jeopardy? He is terrified that Carla will bite off his head.
“I think he finally felt like he was progressing in life with his designs, he got promoted, everyone kind of respects him in Underworld.
“Therefore, losing that will make him feel like he is starting over, and having to support Glory alone will be difficult financially.
