EXCLUSIVE: Tonight marks the beginning of Coronation Street’s Super Soap Week episodes, during which viewers will witness Stephen Reid’s fall from grace as evidence of his crimes from the previous year surfaces.
Joe Duttine, who plays Tim Metcalfe on Coronation Street, teases viewers that they should be concerned for Tim’s future because he is the first to learn about Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) crimes this week.
Tim finds a body in the canal tonight as ITV’s Super Soap Week begins, putting him in danger as he tries to get Stephen to the police station.
Tim is silenced by Stephen after he decides to take matters into his own hands out of fear of being discovered.
Joe Duttine stated to Express.co.uk and other media outlets in response to the question of whether viewers should be concerned for Tim throughout the week: “Yeah! In my opinion, yes.
“I like that we are in the dark about what is happening while concentrating on the Platt family’s story and what is happening there.

Yes, I enjoy the mystery surrounding his whereabouts. You almost disregard him.
Joe also gave Todd Boyce a heartfelt tribute before saying, “He just has no ego, has he? Although he is playing the lead, he is actually cool with that.
He simply “gets on with it,” shows up, performs his duties, and chooses where he wants to sit for dinner. He was a real joy, and you just sort of get on with it because you know that you can rely on each other.
According to tonight’s spoilers, Stephen realizes that his time may be up and, with nothing to lose, decides to make one last attempt to get out of jail. He will stop anyone who stands in his way.
He discovers a broken boat hook and begins snooping around in the water after being persuaded that there is a body in the canal. Suddenly, a corpse’s hand rises to the surface.

He calls the police while running back to his cab and reporting finding a dead body, but the call is interrupted by a poor signal.
Before he can dial his cab again, Stephen approaches and climbs in the back seat, then tries to silence him by strangling him with his tie.
Tim tries to escape but trips over his shoelace and Stephen knocks him out with a brick as he struggles to stand.
Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), who is enraged, believes that Tim and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) attended the county game.
However, her husband is actually battling for his life in the gasoline-filled boot of his car. Stephen has he killed recently?
