Danny Dyer, star of EastEnders, has honored his co-star and legendary actor Timothy West.
According to his relatives, the 90-year-old actor passed away in his sleep yesterday.
“After a long and extraordinary life on and off the stage, our darling father Timothy West passed away peacefully in his sleep yesterday evening,” his family said in a statement. He was ninety years old. At the end, Tim was accompanied by family and friends.
His 61-year marriage to Prunella Scales has left him with a sister, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

In 2014, Timothy debuted as Stan Carter, the grandpa of Danny’s character Mick Carter and the father of the well-known characters Shirley (Linda Henry) and Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White).
The EastEnders Instagram account honored Timothy with a statement today.Danny responded with his own remark in the comments section.
The BBC One soap opera posted: “We are deeply saddened to learn of Timothy West’s passing. “It was instantly apparent that Timothy was the patriarch of the Carter family when he entered EastEnders as Stan. Everyone who worked with Timothy at EastEnders fell in love and admired him right away, and we shall always hold a special place in our hearts for him. Our thoughts and affection are with Timothy’s family and friends.

Danny, who stepped down as Mick in 2022, sent the following message with some crushed heart emojis: “Can’t believe it.”
Stan became involved in a romantic triangle with Walford native Cora Cross (Ann Mitchell) and his estranged wife Sylvie (Linda Marlowe) after relocating to the Queen Vic bar.
Following a fight with terminal prostate cancer, Stan was killed off the BBC serial opera in April 2015.
After learning of Timothy’s passing, Danny’s co-star Kellie Bright also wrote a poignant note.

“I just wanted to say that working alongside the legend Timothy West was an absolute highlight of my career,” the actress, who portrays Mick’s wife Linda Carter, posted on Instagram.
