In the most recent episode of EastEnders, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) faced the death penalty after a terrifying encounter with killer Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
Bianca questioned why Reiss had lied about his whereabouts at the time of Debbie’s death after seeing him on CCTV at his late wife Debbie’s (Jenny Meier) assisted living facility.
Reiss rushed right in to deny killing her, and B followed him about until he admitted his crime!
Reiss destroyed the evidence before sobbing, but Bianca hurried to notify the police. Nevertheless, Bianca maintained that he was powerless to prevent her from revealing his wrongdoing.
Reiss asserted that he just wouldn’t make it in prison and that he never intended for his pregnant fiancée, Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy), to bear the responsibility.
After declaring that Debbie’s death had been a mercy killing, he offered a solution that would both release Sonia and keep him out of jail.
While he fled, Reiss disclosed that he had retained the pillow he used to choke Debbie and that Bianca could turn it in to get Sonia freed.
Reiss had the audacity to inform Bianca that she would be held accountable if Sonia stayed behind bars when she refused!
Bianca agreed to go get the pillow and, in preparation for using it as a defensive weapon if needed, she slipped a candlestick into her jacket.
Bianca refused to let Reiss fetch the pillow without her when they arrived at a lock-up. “I’m sorry, Bianca!” Reiss said as she screamed for her life after trapping her inside and informing her there was no pillow. He then picked up a blanket and a hefty metal object.
