In the most recent episode of the BBC soap opera, Jay Brown reaches his lowest point after losing his wife, Lola Pearce, who passed away earlier this year.

Fans of EastEnders should get ready for next week, when Jamie Borthwick’s character Jay Brown, who is distraught, will be on the verge of a breakdown.

After losing his wife, Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold), to a brain tumor earlier this year, Jay has had a difficult year.

Jay has recently started abusing drugs and spending more time away from his family, according to the BBC One soap opera.

Because of this, he gets into trouble with his stepdaughter Lexi (Isabella Brown) and adopted brother Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).

It is now confirmed that Jay’s character cannot cope anymore and will be involved in a horror accident.

Jamie Borthwick revealed details about filming the challenging scenes in an interview with Radio Times.

“There is an accident at the house and after that, Jay just cannot cope anymore,” he said.

“He needs to get away from Walford because being around there is just causing nothing but carnage.”

Lola, Jay’s wife, received a terminal brain cancer diagnosis the previous year; however, in May, her health quickly deteriorated.

In the heartbreaking scenes in May, her loved ones said their final goodbyes as Lola passed away peacefully while Lexi was curled up next to her.

In reference to Lola’s death, Jamie continued, “He’s low, he’s hit rock bottom.

Jay has turned to using drugs because he doesn’t know where to turn. He seems to be having problem after problem, and he’s probably never felt worse.

Additionally, Jay and Nadine, a sex worker who resembles Lola remarkably well, recently started dating.
Fans of the BBC One soap opera EastEnders will have to tune in the following week to learn what happens to Jay.
