Louisa Lytton, star of EastEnders, will be returning to the show later this year, so fans won’t need to bother asking her one important question.
The 35-year-old actress Louisa originally portrayed Ruby Allen in 2005–2006, and she returned to the character in 2018–2021.
She revealed earlier in the year how frequently fans asked her whether she planned to make a comeback, and it was a lot.
During an Instagram Stories Q&A, Louisa disclosed that she would be questioned “600,000,000 times a day” about an EastEnders comeback.
Character Ruby appeared in a number of intense storylines while she was in Albert Square.
Being the daughter of infamous mobster Johnny Allen, Ruby quickly became friends with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). However, after Ruby started dating Martin Fowler (James Bye) in the future, their friendship dissolved totally.
Soon after, the two developed a fierce disagreement, with Ruby planning Stacey’s attack.
Ruby, who had miscarried a few days earlier, tumbled down the stairs during a fight. But she claimed that Stacey had pushed her, which is why she miscarried. As a result, Stacey was sentenced to prison.
Ruby was sentenced to prison when Martin refused to accept that she was pregnant once more after the truth was revealed.
During her stay, Ruby was also at the center of a compelling episode that explored the idea of consent and followed a plot that led her to discover that two of Martin’s school pals had sexually assaulted her.
It was revealed last month that she will be visiting Albert Square once more.
“I am thrilled to have been asked back to the Square to revisit Ruby and provide some insight into her life during her three-year absence from Walford,” Louisa stated.
“There’s never a dull moment when I play Ruby, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what Ruby has in store.”
A few weeks later, Tracy-Ann Oberman returned for a one-week engagement to play renowned murderer Chrissie Watts.
