Teddy Mitchell’s ex-wife Nicola has been cast in EastEnders, and she is expected to return to the soap in the fall.

Laura Doddington, who is most known for her roles in Holby City, The Midwich Cuckoos, and Doctors, will portray Nicola.

Nicola will show up in Albert Square without being invited in scenes that will air later this year. Teddy, who has been eager to start over with his boys, will be shocked by that.

She quickly introduces herself to the rest of the Mitchell family upon her arrival and expresses her desire to mend fences with her sons, Harry and Barney.

Although Teddy is unimpressed with Nicola’s arrival in his new neighborhood, she is keen to leave her mark. Regardless of how his ex-husband feels about it.

Teddy and Harry have made some fascinating remarks in recent weeks regarding their pasts, and it’s possible that Nicola has the key to understanding what they’re trying to escape.

Harry informed his father in August that “you know who” had been spotted around the neighborhood of their previous residence, attempting to ascertain the family’s new location.

Teddy was sure he had everything figured out, but who is “you know who” Nicola and what is her expectation of her former partner?

For the soap opera Doddington, filming has already begun. She described her thrilling new position in a statement, saying, “I keep pinching myself because I still can’t believe I joined EastEnders!

“I was like a kid at Christmas the first time I filmed in The Vic because I grew up watching the program and I was excited to be in such a famous location with such a talented cast and team. Nicola exudes complexity and resembles the Tasmanian Devil!

“She’s strong and absolutely shameless about who she is. My Mitchell brothers, Roland, Elijah, and Lewis, have taken me under their wing and we already feel like a family, so I’m really fortunate to have them. So far, I’m enjoying every moment.”

“Nicola is feisty, strong, and loves her family, like all the great Mitchell women,” executive producer Chris Clenshaw continued. It will be interesting to investigate her relationships with her two sons and her complex past with Teddy.

“We’re delighted to welcome the fantastic Laura Doddington to EastEnders to bring Nicola to life.”
