Faye Brookes, a star of Coronation Street, has dazzled fans ahead of her impending wedding by giving them an inside look at her wedding dress fitting.
The actress, better known to soap opera viewers as Kate Connor in Corrie, is engaged to Iwan Lewis, her co-star from the movie Legally Blonde, whom she started dating in 2022.
After dating for three months, the couple announced their engagement in January of this year.
Faye teased fans on Instagram with a sneak peek at what she might be donning for the big event, which will take place in the Cotswolds later this year.
She captioned the post “Bridal Barbie”—a nod to Greta Gerwig’s most recent box office success—with many cartoon-filtered photos of herself putting on various gowns.
Before the actress’s big day, admiring fans showered her with praise in the comments section.
One of them said, “You’re going to make the most gorgeous bride Faye.”
Such a beautiful garment, Faye; you look lovely. Another person remarked, “Loving proud mum in the mirror.”
A third person added heart eyes emojis and said, “All of these dresses are amazing.”
Faye revealed to OK! Magazine that she and Iwan, who played lovers Elle and Emmett in the popular musical, were friends for 11 years before falling in love.
We had been friends for a while by the time Legally Blonde rehearsals began.
When he approached me, he said, “By the end of this tour, we’re going to be together.” My response was, “Mate, no, we’re not.”‘
Emmett [was] the nerd who ultimately wins the gal, Iwan continued. ‘Art imitates life at times. Chemistry has always existed, but up until today, we haven’t explored it. Since the beginning, it has been predetermined by the stars. I told Faye right away that I’ve never been able to keep my cool.
