General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Goes To Bat For Jason As Sonny Doubles Down Against Him

Spoilers for General Hospital allege Steve Burton’s character, Dante Falconeri, expressed gratitude to Jason Morgan for saving his life on that fateful night on the pier. Jason responded with humility, saying that Dante would not have been shot if it weren’t for him.

Even though Dante acknowledged that was a valid point, he is still going to be appreciative of the support and certain that he wouldn’t be here right now if Jason hadn’t sacrificed his own safety to keep Dante safe.

Thus, father and son are going to have a more intense conversation than Sonny might anticipate when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) takes complaints about Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to Dante’s doorway.

After everything that has happened, will even Dante find himself on Sonny’s expanding list of individuals he prefers to stay away from? His son is defending Jason.

General Hospital Spoilers — Dante’s Gratitude is a Sore Spot for Sonny

When Dante met with his father, he didn’t hold back. Dante made no room for Sonny’s rage toward Jason, even if it seemed to fill the area.

Although Jason, who takes the blame, disputes that statement, he expressed gratitude to Jason for saving his life and told his father that Jason had nothing to do with him getting shot.

Sonny is unable to let go of his resentment towards Jason for an unknown cause, which might be related to the shooter’s attempt to remove Sonny from the warehouse rooftop rather than Dante’s gunfire on the dock.

GH Spoilers Leak Sonny Still Feels Betrayed

Whether you like it or not, Jason did really go into hiding for over two years, leading everyone to assume he had passed away. It’s not just Sonny who gets irritated by it.

With the exception of Jason’s teenage son Jake Spencer (Hudson West), he is the only one harboring resentment. That says a lot about Sonny’s maturity and capacity for taking it all in.

Given that so many of his personal friends and family have betrayed him in recent months, we could afford to be lenient toward the man, but this is Jason, after all.

The viewers are just as perplexed as Laura Wright’s character Carly Spencer, who was shocked that Sonny wasn’t prepared to put her trust in Jason as he was evicting them both from his penthouse.

Sonny has already experienced betrayals from Carly, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros). Jason’s betrayal is the icing on the cake.

General Hospital Spoilers — An Isolated Mobster

When all is said and done, Sonny will become more and more alone the more he distances himself from the ones who matter most to him.

Regardless of how certain Jason is that Sonny is safe, that might be the ideal location for his enemy to scope out their target, and we’re sure he has many of those.

In reality, as Sonny becomes more isolated and mistrustful of everyone around him, it might be Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) who ultimately seals his destiny.

When Sonny is at his lowest and needs an ally, will Anna be able to take advantage of that by bringing Dex back in to finish her dirty work? To find out, keep checking back for more spoilers and news on General Hospital.
