Spoilers for General Hospital (GH) suggest that things have rapidly altered in Port Charles.

Though Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was once a member of #TeamSonny, her views of the crime boss have rapidly evolved following a recent confession from Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

Will she be inspired to bring Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) down now that she has a fresh perspective on him?

According to GH spoilers, Anna went directly to see John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) after meeting with Dex.

The two became friends over a drink, discussed their past, and chatted about Sonny on the Wednesday, March 20 episode. while it came to the mob leader, Anna acknowledged that she had rose-colored glasses, and a big part of it had to do with the fact that he supported Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) while she wasn’t. She also expressed her regret to John, who now understands why he feels such strong feelings for Corinthos.

Could this “drink” lead to something more?

It’s challenging to see John’s intentions. He appears to be a villain, but as viewers of soap operas have discovered, things in Port Charles aren’t always as they seem.

John is the one who blackmailed Stone Cold into becoming a mercenary, which is why Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been missing from the community for such a long time.

But is John attempting to undermine Sonny with this? Does Jason’s “undercover” labor serve a higher purpose? Is he learning who the nasty men are that are after Sonny?

Or is John an undercover FBI agent who is employed by the opposition? Time will tell.

Could Anna work with John to bring Sonny to justice without Anna knowing about this? Since the shooting at the Metro Court, she and Sonny have become closer, and since Corinthos has lost a significant chunk of his inner circle, he might include her even more deeply.

It would be a big mistake to trust Anna in this way, and it’s not obvious if Devane would cross that line given her double-agent scandal, which has just recently started to get under control.
