The news of Robyn Bernard’s passing, who portrayed Terry Brock on General Hospital, devastated viewers of the serial opera. And so were a few of her coworkers and friends from her six years in Port Charles who talked to Soaps In Depth about their experiences and reflections.
The actor who played Terry’s love interest, Kevin O’Connor, who wed her before gaslighting and attempting to murder her, Kevin Bernhardt, was heartbroken about the loss. He said, “Robyn so flawlessly captured the essence of Terry Brock’s character that Terry Brock frequently seemed to be embodied in Robyn.” “Robyn embraced life to the fullest and gave her all on stage, including a significant portion of her heart through her music.
Bernhardt went on, “I am sorry to learn of the personal struggles she faced after appearing on the show, but I will always remember Mrs. Kevin O’Connor and this stunning and gifted leading lady. Without a doubt, Robyn is now in a better place, where she, Terry Brock, and their gospel music will continue to enjoy the same level of affection as those who knew them in the General Hospital.
Shaun Cassidy, who portrayed Terry’s singing partner Dusty Walker in 1987, said, “I was saddened to learn of Robyn’s passing.” Even though I was only there for a short time, she taught me a lot and made a lot of people happy with her work on the program. I’m sending my sympathies to her family and friends.
“Robyn Bernard was a wonderful actress and very much loved by everyone on GH,” said Brad Maule, the former Tony. She was “an angel flying too close to the ground,” in Willie Nelson’s words.

Terry’s other starring man, Patrick O’Connor, Guy Mack, wrote some very beautiful comments in memory of his comrade. He stated, “She was a melody lost in the tapestry of life, a soul ensnared by shadows of torment.” She sang with a voice that was a monument to her enormous talent and fortitude as she navigated the maze of her life. However, a fog and the terrifying echoes of past horrors shrouded her path. She has worn her veil of mortal labor and suffering, and with it go the weight of a harsh world.
He went on, “May she now find comfort in the embrace of our Lord with eternal tranquility, where her voice and her soul’s song echoes forever, even though she wandered alone, lost, stubborn, and resolute.” She leaves this mortal coil unbound, like an autumn leaf loose from its branch. Goodbye, my companion. May your soul soar freely and at last find peace. Robin, God bless you.
Lucy was a mousy librarian at the time, and Lynn Herring shared: “So very sad.” I was enamored with her talent and attractiveness.
“I have very happy memories of Robyn,” said Ian Buchanan, Duke. She has a lovely and loving spirit. incredibly entertaining and talented! I am deeply sorry for her loved ones and am very sorry to learn of her passing.
