Tane Parata of Home and Away is officially getting close to someone new.
The man who is currently accused of kidnapping infant Maia is shown in a teaser clip posted to the soap opera’s Instagram page kissing Harper Matheson.
She made him a little uncomfortable five months prior when, when recovering from her breakup with Tane, she withdrew from his advances.
In the latest Home and Away video, Harper discovers that she might actually be in love with Tane, who could spend the next fifteen years behind bars.
“I believe I truly like him,” she confides in Dana, her younger sister.
She continues by telling gym supervisor Tane directly, knowing that his time as a free man is running out.
Harper says dramatically, “You have to know by now how much I care about you.”
After that, a voiceover warns viewers of the soap opera that “feelings will surface” as Tane approaches Harper once more. However, this time she doesn’t piss him off.
Channel 5 in the UK won’t start airing these episodes until July.
In other news, veteran cast member Lynne McGranger has acknowledged that she had “mulled over” the idea of leaving her role as Irene Roberts after 31 years.
Stellar magazine was recently informed by her that “it has been in the back of my mind for the last year or two.”
