Recently, the soap opera hinted at the coming of Joshua Orpin, an actor from the Titans, as Rory, a new love interest who would be bringing some excitement to Summer Bay.
According to TV Week, Felicity is first put off by Rory’s whistling while she’s on the beach but eventually falls in love with him because of his charisma.
After a protracted breakup with her ex-husband Tane Parata, Felicity starts to have concerns, so Rory gives her his phone number despite his awful first impression.
In a new Australian-pace trailer, which was posted to the soap’s official Instagram account on Thursday (July 4), police officer Cash Newman is determined to keep his sister away from the newcomer.
The clip sees Cash return to police work, which causes tension among returning criminal gang The River Boys.
“We have a unique opportunity to get some dirt on the new cop,” said gang member Rory as Cash arrives in town.

When Orpin’s casting was announced in March, he described his character as “a bit of a bad boy” who would be stirring things up in the Bay – but also as someone who has “great depth”. Speaking to TV Week, the actor has since explained that Rory’s status as a River Boy “comes with a preconceived notion about who he is based on the fact that he’s a member of a gang that has a legacy.” He continued: “A lot of the exploration of Rory’s character comes down to things such as love and loyalty and how far that loyalty extends.”
