Cash’s presence proves to be too much for his ex-fiance Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), who has chosen to actively participate in the management of Salt after acquiring her sister Felicity’s (Jacqui Purvis) piece of the company after her death.

Mackenzie (Emily Weir), a co-owner of Salt, had anticipated that Cash would choose to remain a silent partner because of his background as a police officer.

As a result, she became irate when he began examining the books instead and showed up hoping to assist during a shift, even though he had no idea how to run a restaurant.

Additionally, it disappointed Xander (Luke Van Os), Salt’s bartender and event coordinator, who had planned to purchase Cash’s portion of the company in the event that he decided to sell. Since it was Flick’s passion, Cash told Xander that it was the last thing he had of her and that he planned to continue her legacy.

Cash hadn’t taken into account the fact that Eden works there. Since he violently left her during Flick’s burial, claiming it was for her own safety because everyone he loves dies, their relationship is not good.

Eden will soon call Cash out on his inability to look away from her while she works next week. In a quiet conversation in the storeroom, Eden questions whether his unreasonable concerns will truly cause him to discard everything they owned. But Cash informs her that because it’s already over and he won’t be changing his mind, it’s time to move on.

In retaliation, she takes off her engagement ring and tells Cash to shove it when he requests to retain it. Eden shows up to Cash’s door the following morning and declares her resignation from Salt.

Cash receives a visit from Remi (played by Adam Rowland) while Eden starts looking for a new employment. Remi tells Cash that although he has the right to reject someone who loves him, he shouldn’t make Eden quit her career. Remi informs Cash that he hasn’t given her much of a choice, even though Cash denies doing so. She is barely able to stay and torment herself daily.

After giving Remi’s words some thought, Cash confides in John (Shane Withington) and asks him what he believes he should do regarding Salt. John says that Cash should do whatever makes life as easy as possible for him and Eden because they have been through enough.

Knowing that John is correct, Cash informs Eden that she can go back to work because he has made the decision to become a silent partner in Salt instead.

Cash reveals that he followed his instruction when John calls over the next morning with more food from Marilyn (Emily Symons). But when he opens the morning post and sees a letter from the organization that managed Flick’s organ donations, he quickly becomes sidetracked.

Five separate people have benefited from Flick’s organs, they add, and one of the recipients has written a message to express gratitude to Flick’s family. Although the organization clarifies that Cash is under no duty to read the letter, he chooses to do so and requests that John remain with him.

The woman says that after suffering from a cardiac condition for the majority of her life, she was given Flick’s heart and lungs, which have given her the opportunity to live life to the fullest.

As the recipient assures Cash that they will always be grateful, Cash starts to cry and John steps in.

Even when John reminds her that all communication must be anonymous and done through the organization, Cash feels compelled to get in touch with the woman.

Cash, however, is unable to sleep that night and chooses to reply with a letter. What is he going to say?

Even though Xander’s dreams of co-owning Salt were swiftly crushed, the thought has caused him to think about it.

Xander is seen looking carefully up at the Salt balcony by Tane (Ethan Browne) and Harper (Jessica Redmayne). He asks Tane whether he has always known he wanted to manage a gym. Later, when he questions Leah as well, she tells him about the benefits of being her own employer.

After hearing Xander’s query, Rose (Kirsty Marillier) becomes interested in her brother’s activities. He explains that he has been considering enrolling in an online business school since he can’t stop thinking about starting his own company and has money left over from his inheritance and ambulance service compensation.

Is the next business owner in the Bay on the horizon?
