To make a statement, the gang leader goes to the police station. To everyone’s shock, Rory declares that Dingo killed McGrath, not the other way around.
Rory recalls from an official police interview that McGrath had been monitoring the River Boys for some months.

Dingo was compelled to attack McGrath in retaliation for this. McGrath had already lost consciousness by the time Rory reached the scene.
Afraid that McGrath would be able to pin the crime on Dingo, Rory completed the kill to permanently silence their adversary.
Cash puts Rory under arrest for the murder, but when Felicity shows up at the police station to vehemently defend her boyfriend, he finds himself in a tight spot.

Felicity believes that Rory is putting up a fake front to shield Dingo, but when Cash verifies that Rory’s fingerprints were on the murder weapon, Felicity is forced to confront the truth.
Cash realizes later in the week that Felicity, who is struggling, needs some closure after the upsetting news.

In order for Felicity to have one last talk with the man she fell in love with, Cash decides to drive her back to the police station.
Felicity dares to believe that there might be another reason for what transpired, but Rory insists that he was the one who killed McGrath.
Rory tells Felicity that it’s time to move on from him even if this wasn’t what he intended for their relationship.
