Next week, Irene Roberts from Home and Away will be embarrassed when her latest attempt to assist Bronte Langford goes horribly wrong.

The popular Summer Bay woman tinkers with the law when she advises Bronte to sue the Diner.

Recently, viewers have witnessed Irene greet Bronte at her home after they first met at a city hospital.

Bronte is trying to scam Irene out of her savings by pretending that she needs assistance while she copes with a fatal illness.

Future scenes on Channel 5 will have Irene and her business partner Leah Patterson dealing with the aftermath from a tainted water source that caused major illness in a few diner patrons.

Irene said that after the terrifying experience, one of the victims is now requesting $50,000 in compensation. After learning of the news, Bronte resolves to incorporate it into her own sinister scheme.

Not long after, Bronte tells a falsehood that she has test results that “prove” she was also impacted by the Diner outbreak.

Irene feels awful since Bronte lies blatantly about how the incident made her autoimmune sickness worse.

Irene recommends that Bronte sue the firm for $50,000 as well, since she is sure that the Diner’s insurance company will handle the compensation amount.

Over the phone, Bronte updates her hidden accomplice, telling her that she is overjoyed with her success and that the money will arrive shortly.

Leah soon learns about Irene’s crazy proposal and demands to know why she pushed someone to sue them.
