In Home and Away, Mackenzie Booth, having nearly lost “the love of her life,” Levi Fowler, turns to an extreme measure.
Mac holds Iluka, the younger brother of Mali Hudson, accountable for Levi’s chest stabbing at the hands of an Allen gang member. In brand-new sequences, Mac banishes Iluka from Summer Bay, causing a breach with Mali (viewers in the UK will have to wait until August).
Mac actor Emily Weir told TV Week that “having to do medical work on him with his guidance and almost lose him after seeing Levi get stabbed was traumatic for Mac.”
“Mac is in protection mode for her, Levi and her household after the trauma,” Weir said.
“Iluka almost lost the love of her life due to the perils of the people she associates with.” Mac finds it difficult to forgive at this point and finds it difficult to ignore how serious the situation is.”
Mac believes Iluka brought the Allens to town, and she does not want Mali’s brother living with her.
When Mali finds out about Mac’s choice, he begs her to change her mind, but when she refuses, he issues a warning: if Iluka leaves, he will too.
