Mali Hudson from Home and Away is worried that his new career path will not be easy to follow when it premieres in the UK next week.

Mali, the Summer Bay soap opera star, has been pursuing a fresh aspect of his artistic abilities after receiving support from his friend Kirby Aramoana.

Mali is well-known for his striking surfboard designs, but Kirby recently learned that he is also a skilled canvas painter.

Kirby urged Mali to go farther with this and submit his artwork for judging. Mali was eventually persuaded to go for it, even though she had initially been reluctant.

Mali is looking forward to seeing the outcomes of the art competition in Channel 5’s next shows.
When Mali discloses that the organizers have contacted him to confirm his information, Kirby gets a little carried away and implies that this means he has won.

Mali gets an email confirming that someone else won, just as he begins to believe it himself.

Mali kicks himself, wondering why he ever became so enthused about the possibility that his paintings would finally be appreciated.

Mali keeps the truth from Kirby, saying that the findings are still pending, even though he confides in Alf Stewart about the actual conclusion.

Mali is unable to maintain the pretense for long, as he later finds out at the Surf Club that a parcel containing his returned painting and a letter of recommendation has arrived in the mail.

Mali eventually breaks the news to Kirby that he lost, still feeling dejected. Kirby, perplexed by his attitude, notes that he should be pleased of himself because he still won a praise on his first attempt.

Will Mali accept Kirby’s words of wisdom and learn to be less critical of himself?

These scenes from Channel 5’s Home and Away will show on Wednesday, October 23, and Thursday, October 24. With our collection of 14 spoilers and 29 preview images, you may get deeper into next week’s shows.
