Favourite character Paul Foreman from Coronation Street has been portraying a brave face as he adjusts to his Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis in recent months.

In upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) will discover that his MND illness is getting worse. These episodes are sure to be emotionally taxing for viewers to watch.

Paul received the dire prognosis in April, and the future he has dreaded since then is about to materialise.

ITV soap official spoilers are revealed Paul will start to have trouble walking and will require more help moving around.

In yet-to-air scenes, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) observes Paul hunching over on his right leg as the two of them move through the flower shop flat.

Paul tries to hide his disappointment with his decline while trying to do his best.

Paul acknowledges that it will take some getting used to after Billy returns home with a walking assistance for him.

Instead, he suggests a wheelchair, but Paul finds the concept repulsive.

Later, Paul receives an engagement ring as a birthday gift, and he soon finds himself filled with emotion.

However, he is stunned by the sheer number of people when he arrives to the Bistro for the combined celebration with Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell).

Gemma advises that he go outside and run about in the park with Bryn Winter-Brown (Arthur Taylor).

Paul tries to pursue Bryn when he flees but tumbles to the ground.

Paul admits he can’t handle the stairs when he gets back to the flat.

Billy asks Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) for assistance, and the two of them bring Paul to the flat, but Paul feels completely embarrassed.

Later, he reluctantly acknowledges that a stair lift might be necessary.

Paul is willing to participate in fancy dress and manages to get into the Pride atmosphere.

He is shocked, though, when Billy and his occupational therapist concur that he should definitely have a wheelchair.

When David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) says that he discovered Paul drinking vodka on a bench, Billy takes responsibility and admits that they had a disagreement. Paul is upset with Billy.

He sees Paul get out of the taxi and be carried into the Rovers by three drag queens.

Paul is upset that this will be his final Pride as everyone rallies around him.
