In an intense showdown on next week’s episode of Coronation Street, Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) is shown being attacked by ruthless drug dealer Dean in a first peek video, leaving her terrified.

Cassie is attempting to hide the fact that she is still struggling with her heroin addiction and is entangled in a dangerous environment since she has returned to try to be a part of her son Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) life.

After firing Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) for concealing Cassie’s presence, Tyrone is now concentrating on getting to know Cassie.

She contacts Dean to obtain a hit since she needs another fix, but her attention is elsewhere.

Cassie owes Dean £50, which she doesn’t have, so Dean is on the attack.

She reassures him that she is up to the task, but Dean snaps and throws her against a wall.

an incident Ryan Russell’s character Michael Bailey appears prepared to step in, but Cassie presents it as a simple clandestine romance.

Cassie begs Dean once more after he has left her line of sight, but each time, he flings her to the ground violently.

After the altercation, Michael finds Cassie in the hospital, where he stays by her side.

Michael steps in to stop Dean from making additional threats, but when Dean inside the wards, he punches Michael.

Cassie wants Tyrone to remain unaware of the happenings, but is this really possible?

Claire maintains that her unstable character’s true desire to join a family is what drives her.

Cassie unquestionably desires a family and love, the Brookside actor told us. As events unfold and you witness her excitement in getting to know her grandchildren, you will be able to see that.

“I performed a scene yesterday.” It’s like the finest thing she’s ever done in her life, and we were just walking to the bus stop when it happened.

“She’s just never had that family or that loving environment.” She’s been with awful men, and her mother didn’t want to know. She only desires to belong to a family and to be loved.

That is visible in scenes, even the simplest ones like sipping tea while watching the kids get ready. She’s never had any of that, you know. But she desires a piece of it.

And Evelyn has a lot to deal with because she had that information but withheld it from her before telling him she was deceased.

It’s only the beginning of a protracted journey for a figure Claire finds fascinating.

Fans have already praised her performance, especially the interaction she had with Maureen, and the actress promises there will be more.

“I am eager to watch her develop.” She thought, “She does some really nasty things. It’s been vital for me to try and discover the vulnerabilities.

“I need to uncover the flaws in this character so that people can relate to her, and I’m looking for those moments where she’s not just obnoxious and annoying.”I believe the authors did that very well and brilliantly. She exhibits utter vulnerability at times. She also gives an explanation for her actions.

I have sympathy for her.Being able to play a character with so many facets is fantastic and fulfilling. She shares her mother’s feistiness but also shares her sensitivity.

Then she has her love for Tyrone, followed by the novelty and excitement of becoming a grandmother. She also enjoys throwing parties, and there is a particular incident in the Rovers where she really gets loose and creates some problems.
