To what extent is Tammin Sursok (formerly of Colleen, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) committed to her career as a social media creator? Well, while filming her most recent parenting video, she suffered a concussion!
Sursok has been sharing funny momlife videos on her Instagram and TikTok pages, along with fitness and beauty content. She posted a humorous video on March 27 that made fun of newborn photo shoots, in which parents cuddle their infants in blankets and place them sweetly on a bed or in a basket. The Y&R alum covered herself in a blanket for the act in order to show —and just as she was about to slide from her bed into the basket into the mattress, she tripped and fell! “I nearly went to urgent care after falling off the bed,” Sursok wrote as the Reel’s description. “I did this to my kids when they were babies,” he later said, referring to daughters Phoenix and Lennon.
Regretfully, Sursok admitted later that she went to her neighborhood emergency room the next day to get checked out due to a persistent headache because she had indeed struck her head fairly hard. She smiled while posting a selfie from her hospital bed in a follow-up post, sharing what she had learnt from the fallout from her stunt. She was wearing a neck brace. “What I’ve discovered over the past two days: Concussions can occur from the silliest of actions. Additionally, you may need to demonstrate or explain what you were doing to the doctor when it occurs. It might also be the most humiliating experience of your life. 2. Be aware of any signs because concussions can occur 24 hours after an idiotic action.3. CT scans have an oddly calming effect and can induce sleep when used with antiemetic drugs. 4. The ER is like a little vacation when you have tiny children. 5. Since neck braces help you sleep straight, I might bring one with me for the trip.
Sursok, who lives in Nashville and Australia, said in response to a commenter that her injury was caused by video proof that she could show the emergency room doctor. He enquired. I also showed him,” she said.
Even though concussions are serious injuries, Sursok seems to have been able to maintain her sense of humor about it as she joked and thanked her fans for their well wishes. Feeling a little better now. Just a battered ego and brain. I did, in fact, have a brain, the scan revealed. That’s good, then.
